Demineralized
Water Treatment
Overview
A facility that produces pure water by removing cation and anionic components contained in water using ion exchange resin with raw water that has undergone coagulation and sedimentation.
The demi. water system can consist of various combinations according to the processing water quality required, and the most common configuration consists of cation exchanger, degasifier, anion exchanger and mixed bed polisher.

Our Solutions
Cation Exchanger Tower
Technical Features
Applications
-
Cation exchanger tower removes cations (Na+, K+, Ca++, Mg++, Mn++, Fe+++, etc) in water by passing raw water through a cation exchange resin.
-
Cation exchange resin is an insoluble polymer acid and is classified into strong acid cation exchange resin and weak acid cation exchange resin according to the acidic strength of the exchanger.
-
Pressure Vessel Code : ASME Sec.VIII Div.I or KS B 6750
-
Applicable Materials :
- Vessel : Carbon Steel + Rubber Lining
- Internal Parts : SS316L, PP, PVDF
-
Regeneration Chemicals : HCl or H2SO4
-
Pharmaceutical water
-
Food process water, cosmetic process water
-
Electronic and semiconductor process water
Degasifier
Technical Features
Applications
-
Degasifier removes carbon dioxide dissolved in the water by blowing air in the opposite direction to the flow of water through packing inside the degasifier through cation exchanger, and it can reduce the load of the anion exchange resin at the back, reducing the amount of anion exchange resin, as well as reducing chemical consumption during regeneration.
-
Degasifier & Storage Tank Code : API 650 or KS B6255
-
Applicable Materials :
- Vessel : Carbon Steel + Rubber Lining (3mm)
- Internal Parts : SS316, PP, PVDF
-
Pharmaceutical water
-
Food process water, cosmetic process water
-
Electronic and semiconductor process water
Anion Exchanger Tower
Technical Features
Applications
-
Anion exchange tower removes anions (Cl-, SO4--, HCO3-, etc) from the water by passing raw water through the anion exchange resin.
-
Anion exchange resin is an insoluble synthetic resin and is classified into strong basic anion exchange resin and weak basic anion exchange resin depending on the strength of the basic exchanger.
-
Pressure Vessel Code : ASME Sec.VIII Div.I or KS B 6750

Applicable Materials :
- Vessel : Carbon Steel + Rubber Lining
- Internal Parts : SS316, PP, PVDF -
Regeneration Chemicals : NaOH

Mixed Bed Polisher
Technical Features
Applications
-
MBP removes dissolved ions from water by mixing cation exchange resin and anion exchange resin in a single tower and passing through the raw water through it.
-
To obtain a high purity of 0.2 μs/cm or less, go through cation exchanger, degasifier, and anion exchanger and install MBP at the back to produce pure water.
